To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, dogs must be on routine flea and tick preventative prior to their stay. If a scheduled dose of preventative is due during their visit, please bring it along, and we will administer at no additional charge. Upon check-in, all pets are examined for fleas. Should fleas be detected, an appropriate fee for flea treatment will be applied based on dogs weight. Dogs should also be free of worms. This measure ensures the well-being of all dogs.
If a dog is coming from another state, a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), issued within 30 days of entry, is required to enter Missouri. This certificate verifies the dog is free of contagious diseases and provides proof of vaccinations, required for boarding. The CVI must be issued by a licensed veterinarian.
Switching food can be hard on your dog's digestive system. Please bring enough food for their stay, plus a few extra days, in the original bag or container w/lid. Dogs are fed at approximately 5 AM and 5 PM, daily. Please advise at time of booking if your dog(s) has any special diet needs/feeding times. Satisfied stomachs are a must for a good lake day 😋. If your dog runs out of food during their stay we will provide Hunters Blend dog food for their meals at $3.00/day. We provide food and water bowls.
All kennels are indoors in a temperature controlled environment with privacy partitions. Each guest is provided their own elevated bed. Guests are welcome to bring their own flea-free bedding, however we reserve the right to remove the bedding from the facility if fleas are found. Designated times are carved into the day to allow dogs time to recharge and decompress in their own comfortable space for toy time, dog puzzles, music, TV time, or do what dogs do best...nap! No "ruffing" it here, we dog glamp! We are a home based boarding facility so "if your pet forgot something"...no worries, we are on site to assist with their needs.
We've created more than just a kennel; it's a safe, comfortable, and stimulating lakeside retreat where dogs receive individualized care and return home feeling enriched. While in our care, your dog(s) will have multiple opportunities for ample exercise. Whether run/playtime in our large fenced play yard, swimming, enjoying a leisurely nature trail stroll, dock time to enjoy river views (and people watch), we ensure your dog is going to come home having something to wag about! Each dog/family of dogs, receives personalized exercise time three times a day, as we do not co-mingle guests from different families during walk or yard time, ensuring one-on-one attention and safety. Additionally, dogs are rotated to the smaller relief yard upon waking at 5:00 AM and for their last potty break (and a goodnight treat) before bed, around 9 PM, ensuring consistent comfort.
We will only administer medication with your consent. Please advise, when making your booking, if your dog needs to be on medications during their stay. We must have full, written, signed instructions from you regarding all medicines and dosages. Medications must be brought in a vet-dispensed container with corresponding dosage displayed. Rest assured that all precautions for the safety of your dog are taken, and all guests receiving medications are monitored closely. There is no additional fee to administer medication to your pet.
If, at any time during your pet’s stay, a medical concern arises that does not require immediate attention, you will be contacted and advised of the situation, and we will follow your instructions.
In the event of an emergency situation or injury that requires IMMEDIATE medical attention, we will make every attempt to contact you and your emergency contacts for instruction. If we are unable to reach you or your emergency contacts, we will proceed with transporting your pet to an appropriate facility to be seen by a licensed veterinarian and receive minimal life saving treatment.
Since we are not groomers, or a dog spa, it's best we stay in our lane and focus on what we do best. That's getting outside to adventure! We offer a simple bath and dry and anal gland expression. This add on service is great for guests that will be swimming during their stay.
